Congratulations to three BRCSM attorneys for their inclusion in the 2023 edition of Best Lawyers in the Providence metro region. Recognition by Best Lawyers — in conjunction with US News & World Report — is based entirely on peer review, capturing the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues within the same geographical area and legal practice area.

  • Ben Scungio was noted as a Best Lawyer for the practice area of Education Law. Ben focuses on the representation of Rhode Island school committees, educational collaboratives and educational professionals, handling a myriad of concerns that arise each day including constitutional and regulatory issues.
  • Tom Hemmendinger was recognized as a Best Lawyer for three practice areas: Commercial Transactions / UCC Law, Commercial Finance Law, Banking and Finance Law, and Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law. • Sean Clough was included in  Ones to Watch for Education Law and Litigation – Labor and Employment. Ones to Watch recipients typically have been in practice for 5-9 years. Sean is part of the attorney team in the Providence office, working primarily in the Education & Municipal Law.
