Our education law team at BRCSM will again present a full day of education law programs at the RISSA/RIASBO Annual Legal Institute on Friday, October 5, 2018. The program is open to all superintendents, assistant superintendents and business managers. This year, IT professionals and special education directors are also invited.

We will review the vital changes in the law – including state and federal and RIDE decisions – as well as trends and emerging issues. Among the other topics on the schedule, our BRCSM attorneys will lead sessions on:

• Student Privacy Rights vs. Parental Rights
• Five important ESSA Strategies
• Title IX issues

The program, organized by the Rhode Island School Superintendents Association (RISSA) and the Rhode Island Association of School Business Officials (RIASBO), will again be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Benjamin Scungio, Ronald Cascione, Michael Polak, Stephanie Cote, Jon Anderson and Lori Miller will be part of the always-lively sessions focused on the contemporary school system. Learn more about these and other compelling topics in education law from our Education Law team or contact Benjamin Scungio at bscungio@brcsm.com.
