Legal assistant Amelia Montella has been a trusted member of the BRCSM team since the firm’s founding in 1991. She received her Certificate in Paralegal Studies in 1992 and her Bachelor of Science degree (with honors) in 1997, both from Roger Williams University. Her work is focused on the firm’s practice areas in civil litigation, family law and education law.

As the holidays approach, Amelia and her husband Ralph look forward to entertaining with family and friends in their Lincoln home, particularly the elaborate preparation of their Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve. LaVigilia, as it is known, is an Italian-American celebration that Amelia has been hosting for many years. It’s all part of her love of cooking, especially cooking the recipes handed down from her grandmother and mother. It’s a tradition.

“This year we will be connecting with relatives virtually; we usually have at least 25 members of our immediate family who arrive every year at 6:00 p.m. and don’t leave until the last person opens their gift,” shares Amelia. “We are very disappointed we won’t be together in person this year.”

Outside of cooking, Amelia is an avid bike rider, spending lots of time on her neighborhood streets in the good weather and taking regular spin classes at the local YMCA in the winter.
